Youth Aid Council believes that technology has become a necessity for education because it creates a better learning environment. Computers allow easy communication and access to educational resources.
We will make this happen by
- Providing access to low-cost computers and software for Young people in need and non-profit organisations
- Training teachers in ICT skills to improve their confidence when teaching
- Monitoring and evaluating our projects with impact-based reporting
- Placing our projects in areas where they will have the biggest impact in Uk and the world
- Offering a secure IT disposal service to help companies tackle eWaste
- Recycling electronic waste at the end of its usable life
In the UK, we work with young people, schools, and organisations to reuse their computers and accessories. We give ICT equipment a second life through our partners and projects around the UK and the world. By offering a secure IT disposal service we can help companies to ethically dispose of their spare tech while remaining compliant with GDPR, and Hazardous Waste regulations. Donate today to help us close the digital divide for good.
Please give to help our communities get access to medical equipment and other useful medical things.
Beside the poverty that threats the live of thousands of young people in the UK, around the world; one billion people have no access to equipped hospital and adequate medical care.
The Youth Aid Council is working to change this.
You can donate medical materials and equipment in good condition to us so that we package them and send them to our partners around the world to be distributed to the needy families, communities and health care institutions.
Currently, we need the following categories of equipment. Hospital beds, sterilizing equipment, x-ray equipment, medical books, cycling trikes and equipment for disability and mobility, audio-visual resources and science equipment.
You can also generously donate to support our fundraising for a specific piece or specialist medical equipment that will benefit youth and their families around the world.
This page outlines some of the medical equipment which we regularly help children and their families access.
